Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Handled bookkeeping services provided by Handled ("we," "us," or "our") at bookshandled.com. By subscribing, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Handled provides monthly bookkeeping services including transaction categorization, account reconciliation, and delivery of monthly financial reports (profit and loss statement, balance sheet). Services are delivered by the 5th of each calendar month for the prior month.

2. Subscription and Payment

• Subscription is billed monthly at $199 USD via Stripe
• Payment is charged at the start of each billing period
• All prices are in USD
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days written notice

3. Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing hello@bookshandled.com
• No cancellation fees
• Service continues until the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial months

4. Client Responsibilities

To receive bookkeeping services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete financial documents by the 25th of each month
• Connect your QuickBooks account and maintain active authorization
• Respond to questions about transactions within 5 business days
• Review delivered reports and notify us of errors within 14 days of delivery

5. Service Guarantee

We guarantee delivery of your monthly financial report by the 5th of each month, provided you have submitted all required documents by the 25th of the prior month. If we fail to deliver on time due to our error, you will receive a credit for one month of service.

6. Scope of Service

Handled provides bookkeeping services only. We do not provide:

• Tax preparation or tax filing
• Legal or financial advice
• Payroll services
• Audit services
• CFO or controller services

Our reports are for your information and reference. Always consult a licensed CPA or tax professional for tax advice.

7. Data and QuickBooks Access

By subscribing, you authorize Handled to access your QuickBooks account data solely for the purpose of providing bookkeeping services. You may revoke this access at any time through QuickBooks. Revoking access will prevent us from providing services.

8. Confidentiality

We treat all your financial information as strictly confidential. We do not share, sell, or disclose your financial data to any third party except as required to deliver our services or as required by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

Handled's liability is limited to the monthly subscription fee paid. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from errors in bookkeeping, delays in delivery, or service interruptions.

10. Accuracy

We strive for accuracy in all bookkeeping. However, the accuracy of our work depends on the completeness and accuracy of the information you provide. We are not liable for errors resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or late document submissions.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate service with 30 days notice. We may terminate immediately if you violate these terms, provide fraudulent information, or use our service for illegal purposes.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms with 30 days notice via email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
